The cornerstone of Bilia’s environmental work is the effort to reduce effluents and emissions. Most of a car’s environmental impact comes from emissions during use. Bilia can help reduce emissions by performing good, environmentally-minded service on engines and exhaust systems, resulting in lower fuel consumption and thereby reduced emissions.
Waste separation is another priority. Environmentally hazardous waste is managed in accordance with carefully planned procedures. Bilia also has systems, both proprietary and developed together with its partners, for managing and recycling waste from service work and residual products from damage repair. Bilia’s employees are given training in environmental issues and receive environmental information regularly. All of Bilia’s facilities are environmentally certified to ISO 14001.
Four new environmental goals were established during the year. Bilia will work to reduce pollution of land, water and air by reducing, for example, discharges from vehicle washes. Bilia will reduce its consumption of energy and water, reduce its use of non-renewable resources and raise awareness among employees and customers.
